Rhinestone Biz: Shipping Policy

All domestic orders are shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service) Several options are available:

  • USPS Priority Mail Express
  • USPS Priority Mail
  • USPS Ground Advantage (formerly First-Class Package)

Additionally, international orders may be shipped by:

  • USPS First-Class Package International Service
  • USPS Priority Mail International
  • USPS Priority Mail International Flat-Rate Box
  • USPS Priority Mail Express International (EMS)

Order Processing

Orders are processed in the order in which they were received; usually the next business day. Express orders (USPS Express Mail Domestic or International) received by 1:00 PM PST (Mon - Fri) will be processed the same day.  Please check for emails from Rhinestone Biz regarding shortages, or delays in processing.  Some items will only be available from our East Coast warehouse, and Express orders need to be ordered by 7:00 AM for those order to leave same day.  See the table below for more clarity on orders processed on the West Coast. Any out-of-stock conditions not originally noted on the website will be communicated to the customer via phone, email or SMS (text) at the time of processing (see above), at which point a determination on partial-ship options will be requested by Rhinestone Biz. If we are unable to reach you for any reason via phone or email, we will ship a partial order. For more detail on this topic, please see our backorder policy.

Express Services - Domestic Shipments

USPS Priority Mail Express shipments offer a guaranteed delivery time with a refund if the commitment is not met. The commitment is determined at the time of drop-off, and there is no user interaction which can alter the commitment. In the event that a package is not delivered in a timely manner, Rhinestone Biz will work the investigation process as to whether or not the carrier has met their commitment or not. If it is determined that the carrier did not make their commitment, we will refund your shipping charges, less a $5.00 fee.

NOTE: Limitations on Express Orders

There are several factors limiting the use of 'Express' shipments.

  1. Overnight service is provided to the United States Postal Service via a contract with FedEx. Despite the fact that any of the overnight options may be selected at any hour of day or day of week through our system, overnight shipping is limited to orders placed on weekdays, excluding holidays.
  2. USPS Priority Mail Express is normally an overnight service, but on occasion USPS will only guarantee a second-day arrival. This is done in rural/exurban areas, in times of heavy volume and when weather is a factor. There is no advanced notification by USPS of whether of what the guarantee is going to be.
  3. The USPS will deliver Express Mail on Saturday, but this assumes that the package was shipped on Friday.
  4. The USPS also offers a Sunday delivery option for those packages which do not fall in a 'next day' area of the country.
  5. No backorders will be shipped via any Express method, but will be shipped USPS First-Class. For more detail on this topic, please see our backorder policy.
  6. New customers (no previous orders) can only have orders shipped to the verified Billing Address when selecting Express Mail or other expedited shipping.

USPS Priority Mail Service and First-Class Mail Service - Domestic Shipments

USPS Priority Mail service is typically delivered in two to three days in most US locations. The service, however, is not guaranteed. First-Class typically takes three to five days. Both types are trackable in the USPS System. Signature Confirmation options are available for all USPS methods and is required for shipments valued at over $200.00. Estimated ship times increase greatly near holiday periods, please plan accordingly.

As with Express orders, no backorders will be shipped via Priority Mail method, but will be shipped USPS First-Class. For more detail on this topic, please see our backorder policy.

International Shipments

The estimated delivery time for First-Class Mail International and Priority Mail International can be as low as 10 - 14 days, but can sometimes take up to a month to arrive. If you have a choice between the two (based on the weight of your shipment) you should select the lower cost of the two alternatives. USPS Priority Mail Express quotes three to five business days, but we don't have a lot of experience with this service, nor is it guaranteed. USPS is rolling out a tracking and delivery confirmation system with International orders, but it is not yet widely available. You should assume that we won't be able to track your package after it leaves the US. Furthermore there are no Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation options available with either method. If your package is a high value, we will need to insure it for its full value. Your import duty will based on our insurance value. If your package is a very high value, we will need to obtain a signature and thus we will ship it via FedEx (additional charges may apply).

Packages Delayed or Lost In Transit

In the event your package is lost in transit, we will refund your purchase or reship your order after 30 days from the date of shipment (45 days for International orders). Rhinestone Biz requires that you sign and return a letter confirming that your package indeed was never received within this time frame. If we do not receive this signed form back from you, we reserve the right to charge you for the replacement shipment. If you believe that your package has been delayed or lost in transit, please see our package transit liability page. Note: If at any point your shipment is listed as 'Delivered' by the USPS but you dispute this and subsequently submit a claim, Rhinestone Biz reserves the right to arrange for signature confirmation on all subsequent shipments at the recipients expense, regardless of value.

Shipping Errors

On rare occasions, Rhinestone Biz may make an error in shipping. Under most circumstances, we will email a shipping label to facilitate the return of the mis-shipped items. We will ship the correct items immediately upon receipt of the return shipment. For customers wishing to expedite the correction, we may ship the correct item and a pre-paid return envelope or box for the mis-shipped items. In this case Rhinestone Biz will need to receive a temporary payment (card authorization or PayPal Money Request) for the value of the mis-shipped items. The authorization will be voided when the items come back to Rhinestone Biz.

General Recommendations

For most packages, we recommend USPS First-Class Mail. Although Priority Mail is advertised as 2-3 day delivery time, we have found that First-Class shipments arrive only a day or two later (4-5 days) at half the cost. All of our Domestic shipments have Delivery Confirmation standard. For overnight service, USPS Express Mail is recommended.
