Using Our Site - Help

Our site uses several JavaScript based elements to help us keep in touch with our customers. One such example is our Live Help ChatButton. In order to minimize the number of (annoying) pop-ups in your Windows Internet Explorer browser, you will need to make changes to address the following warnings:
  • "Would you like to display non-secure items?" This warning tells the user that there are items on the page which are coming from another source. The images on the ChatButton come from this source. In order to disable this warning, please do the following:
    • Click on IE Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Internet -> Custom Level -> Miscellaneous -> Display Mixed Content = "Enable"
  • "Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls and plugins?" This warning also comes from the Live Help ChatButtons and allows us to invite the viewer to chat. Do disable this warning, please do the following:
    • Click on IE Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Internet -> Custom Level -> ActiveX Controls and Plugins -> Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins = "Enable"
  • "A script is accessing some software (an ActiveX control) on this page which has been marked safe for scripting. Do you want to allow this?" This is also from our Live Help ChatButton. Do disable this warning, please do the following:
    • Click on IE Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Internet -> Custom Level -> ActiveX Controls and Plugins -> Script ActiveX controls marked as safe = "Enable"
