A Breast Cancer Survivor's Story of Courage and Creativity

While in treatment for breast cancer, and needing a distraction from the demands of chemotherapy and the complete baldness it leaves behind, one woman used her creativity to find a way to feel 'sparkly' and not let the disease get the best of her. Barb Gunselman, creator of Bella Bandanas and Headbands, built her business out of the adverse conditions stemming from her cancer and its treatment. The idea to create a 'blingy' bandana came to her when she was invited to a holiday party, but wanted an alternative to wig or scarf.

Since then, Bella Bandanas and Headbands has grown and its products are featured in salons, shops and cancer treatment centers in the North East as well as on her website: http://www.bellabandanas.com.
