Rhinestone Biz: Shipping Policy

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service) or FedEx. Many options are available:

  • USPS Express Mail
  • USPS Priority Mail
  • USPS First-Class Mail
  • FedEx Standard Overnight
  • FedEx Priority
  • FedEx First Overnight
  • FedEx 2nd Day

Additionally, international orders may be shipped by:

  • USPS Priority Mail International
  • USPS Priority Mail International Flat-Rate Box
  • USPS Express Mail International (EMS)
  • FedEx International

Order Processing

Orders are processed in the order in which they were received; usually the next business day. Express orders (USPS Express Mail Domestic or International and all FedEx Express) received by 1:00 PM PST (Mon - Fri) will be processed the same day.  Please see the table below for more clarity. For exceptions regarding telephone orders, please see our policy regarding purchasing from Rhinestone Biz.

Any out-of-stock conditions not originally noted on the order receipt will be communicated to the customer via phone or email at the time of processing (see above), at which point a determination on partial-ship options will be requested by Rhinestone Biz. If we are unable to reach you for any reason via phone or email, we will ship a partial order. For more detail on this topic, please see our backorder policy.

Orders may be tracked (USPS Express Mail, USPS Priority Mail and all FedEx) by visiting your account page.

Your shipment is based on the day and time you place your  order

Express Services

USPS Express Mail and all FedEx items offer a guaranteed delivery time with a refund if the commitment is not met. The commitment is determined at the time of drop-off, and there is no user interaction which can alter the commitment. In the event that a package is not delivered in a timely manner, Rhinestone Biz will work the investigation process as to whether or not the carrier has met their commitment or not. If it is determined that the carrier did not make their commitment, we will refund your shipping charges, less a 20% fee.

NOTE: Limitations on Express Orders

There are several factors limiting the use of 'Express' shipments.

  1. Overnight service is provided to the United States Postal Service via a contract with FedEx. Despite the fact that any of the overnight options may be selected at any time through our system, overnight shipping is limited to orders placed on weekdays, excluding holidays.
  2. The USPS will deliver Express Mail on Saturday, but this assumes that the package was shipped on Friday.
  3. FedEx will deliver on Saturday, but the only option that the shopping cart offers is for Monday delivery.
  4. The USPS also offers a Sunday delivery option for those packages which do not fall in a 'next day' area of the country.
  5. No backorders will be shipped via any Express method, but will be shipped USPS First-Class. For more detail on this topic, please see our backorder policy.

USPS Priority Mail Service

USPS Priority Mail service is typically delivered in two to three days in most locations. The service, however, is not guaranteed. Priority Mail pieces are trackable in the system. Tracing information is updated nightly.

As with Express orders, no backorders will be shipped via Priority Mail method, but will be shipped USPS First-Class. For more detail on this topic, please see our backorder policy.

First-Class Mail Service - Domestic

Non-registered USPS First-Class Mail cannot be tracked or traced in the system. The estimated delivery time for First-Class Mail is two to three Postal business days. Times increase greatly near holiday periods. Since First-Class Mail does not have a tracking system, it does not provide the benefit of a guarantee like our Express Mail® service offers. Without a tracking system affixed to First-Class Mail, the USPS is not able to tell you where the item is within the mail stream or when it will be delivered. Delivery Confirmation and Signature Confirmation options are available for First-Class for your convenience.

First-Class Mail Service - International

USPS First-Class International cannot be tracked or traced in the system - ever. Furthermore there are no Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation options available. The estimated delivery time for First-Class Mail International can be as low as 7-10 days, but can sometimes take up to a month to arrive. First-Class Mail International will bear a customs ID - this is not a trackable identifier. For trackable International orders, we recommend selecting Priority Mail in something other than the Small Flat-Rate box.

Packages Lost In Transit

In the event you package is lost in transit, we will reship your order after a reasonable time has elapsed, but will require that you sign and return a letter confirming that your package indeed was never received. This is required so that we can be reimbursed by our insurance company. If we do not receive this signed form back from you, we reserve the right to charge you for the replacement shipment.

If you believe that your package has been lost in transit, please contact us and we will forward all original copies of shipping receipts so that you may follow the investigation process with the carrier.

Recommendations

For most packages, we recommend USPS Priority Mail. USPS Priority Mail is shipped in a cardboard box and includes delivery confirmation (Domestic packages only). First-Class Service is a lower cost alternative, but your package will be delivered in a Tyvek (heavy plastic) envelope. I will also have a delivery confirmation feature (Domestic packages only). For overnight service, USPS Express Mail is recommended, unless you are in an area which cannot be served by USPS within one day. in this case we recommend one of the FedEx overnight options.
